Founder

Sabrina C. Datu

Atty. Datu is the Founder of Datu Law.

Her professional experience spans private practice, public service, international legal institutions, academia, and civil society work. She began her legal career in private practice before serving as a lawyer with the Public Attorney's Office, where she represented clients in a wide range of criminal, civil, and family law matters.

She later earned her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Public International Law, with a specialization in International Criminal Law, from Leiden University in the Netherlands, graduating cum laude. During her time in The Hague, she served as a Visiting Professional at the International Criminal Court and completed an internship with the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals.

Following her return to the Philippines, Atty. Datu resumed private practice while also supporting organizations working on human rights, gender, and social justice initiatives. Her experience includes litigation, legal advisory work, contract review and drafting, legal research, dispute resolution, and policy advocacy.

Beyond legal practice, Atty. Datu has taught Public International Law and Gender Sensitivity and Laws on Women and Children's Rights at the law school level. She likewise serves as a lecturer on human rights, gender-responsive laws, violence against women and children, and related legal and policy issues.

Through Datu Law, Atty. Datu seeks to provide legal services that are both technically sound and client-centered, helping clients navigate legal challenges with clarity, professionalism, and integrity.
